Material & heat traceability
When an auditor asks which certificate covers the plate in this joint, the answer is a hunt through a folder of PDFs and a hope that the heat number on the plate matches one of them.
How it works

Register the material with its certificate
Each material carries its inspection document — EN 10204 type 2.2, 3.1 or 3.2 — and the heat/cast number it was supplied under.

Bind heat to the work
The heat number is attached to the joints and components it went into, so "which cert covers this weld" is a link, not a search.

Prove the document type
Where the contract requires a 3.1 or a 3.2, the register shows what you actually hold against what's required — before the audit, not during it.

Traceability is a link, not a search
The material certificate is one of the first things a client’s auditor opens, and one of the easiest to lose the thread of: a plate arrives with a heat number stamped on it, a certificate arrives by email, and the two are only ever connected in someone’s head until the day they have to be connected on paper.
This module holds the certificate against the material and binds the heat number to the joints the material went into. “Which certificate covers this weld” becomes a link you follow, and the material-certificate section of the handover dossier assembles from it rather than being gathered at the end.
