Details
The steps, explained
- Register the material with its certificate. Each material carries its inspection document — EN 10204 type 2.2, 3.1 or 3.2 — and the heat/cast number it was supplied under.
- Bind heat to the work. The heat number is attached to the joints and components it went into, so "which cert covers this weld" is a link, not a search.
- Prove the document type. Where the contract requires a 3.1 or a 3.2, the register shows what you actually hold against what's required — before the audit, not during it.

Traceability is a link, not a search
The material certificate is one of the first things a client’s auditor opens, and one of the easiest to lose track of: the plate arrives with its heat number stamped, the certificate arrives by email, and the two stay linked only in someone’s head.
This module holds the certificate against the material and binds the heat number to the joints the material went into. “Which certificate covers this weld” becomes a link you follow, and the material-certificate section of the handover dossier assembles from it rather than being gathered at the end.
