The parts nobody buys, that everything else stands on
These are not products and they do not have sales pages. They are the shared foundation, and they are described here because when they are missing, everything above them becomes manual.
The assembly breakdown
A structure decomposed into assemblies, parts and joints. Every joint that will be welded exists as an object with an identity, which is what makes it possible to say "this joint, this procedure, this welder, this examination" instead of "this drawing, roughly".
Without it, weld traceability is a spreadsheet keyed on a weld number that somebody maintains by hand.
The welding rule library
Codes and their editions, material groups, filler metals, shielding gases, joint preparations, positions. The reference data the engine reasons over.
It is deliberately curated rather than free text. A material group typed differently in two places is two material groups, and every rule that depends on grouping quietly stops working.
Material and heat traceability
Incoming material with its inspection document, its heat number, and the link from the heat to the parts cut from it and the joints made with them. Welding consumables tracked by lot, with their own certificates and their handling conditions.
This is the link the dossier asks for backwards, at the end. It can only be followed backwards if it was made forwards, at goods-in.
The personnel register
One entry per person, carrying qualifications, certificates, validity windows, training and assigned authority. Welders, inspectors, coordinators, examiners and approvers are all people in the same register with different attributes — not four separate lists that drift.
Projects, sites and customers
The scoping boundary. A project is what a client user can see, what an inspector is assigned to, and what a dossier is compiled for. Getting this layer right is why a client can be given access to their own job without seeing the one next to it.
Why they are not sold separately
Because none of them solves a problem on its own. An assembly breakdown with nothing welded against it is a parts list; a material register with no joints referring to it is a warehouse spreadsheet. They earn their place by being underneath something.
