Concession
A documented agreement by the client to accept something that does not conform to the specification, without it being corrected.
A concession is not a way of closing a nonconformance quietly. It is a decision made by the party whose specification was not met, recorded with what was accepted and on what basis.
Concessions belong in the handover dossier. A pack that shows only conforming work, on a job that had concessions, is not a complete record.
