ITP — Inspection and Test Plan
The document that sets out what will be inspected or tested, when, against which criteria, and what level of intervention each party has at each step.
A usable ITP names, for every activity: the reference document, the acceptance criteria, the record produced, and the intervention level for the manufacturer, the client and any third party — hold, witness, review or monitor.
An ITP that lists activities without acceptance criteria is a schedule, not a plan.
